Auxiliary

Woodland Place Auxiliary was established in the 1960's as a volunteer organization dedicated to the quality of life for our residents.

Special projects have included:

• Purchase of a handicap lift van
• Construction of a picnic pavilion
• Renovation of the facility lobby shop
• Planting of Memorial trees and flowers
• Sound system for the facility auditorium
• Sponsoring Annual Ice Cream Social/Car Cruise
• Sponsoring resident/family Annual Christmas Tea
• Purchase of a 65 gallon fish tank for the resident lounge area
• Purchase of various items such as wheelchair cushions, resident lifts, TVs, VCRs, stereos, and outdoor furniture to enhance our residents' lives
• And many more events...

The Auxiliary opens the lobby shop daily for the residents and visitors to purchase snacks and gifts.

Monies are raised through yearly functions and sales such as apple dumplings, pies, and food stands set up at the Community Harvest Festival and Annual Ice Cream Social/Car Cruise.

Help is always needed in the lobby shop, resident visitation, musical talents, card playing, or just reading to someone.

Memorial contributions are always welcomed, but your love and encouragement are all that is needed!
